Lost a golf club in Edinburgh?

Edinburgh works as base camp rather than as a destination. Plenty of visitors never play in the city at all — they sleep here and drive out each morning, along the East Lothian coast one day and inland the next. After four days and four courses, the honest answer to "where did you lose it?" is usually "somewhere east of the city." Scottish weather does the rest: waterproofs go on and come off more often here than almost anywhere in Europe, and every one of those changes is a moment when something gets set down.

Where clubs go missing here

During kit changes when the weather turns, and on this coast it regularly does. In the car and the hotel car park, moving gear between courses on a touring itinerary. And in clubhouse locker rooms, used far more heavily here than at courses where people change beside the car.
