Lost a golf club in Texas?

Two things define Texas golf: heat and distance. For much of the year serious play happens early in the morning or late in the evening, because the middle of the day is unplayable. And the state is large enough that a local course can be an hour away, with a regional trip running several hundred miles. Rounds played fast in low light produce more losses, and the distances make going back to check impractical. On top of that, Texas has a strong corporate golf culture that regularly puts players on courses they don't know.

Where clubs go missing here

At dawn and dusk tee times, when visibility is genuinely poor at both ends of a round. At corporate outings, where bags are handled centrally. And in carts, standard given the heat.

I played at 6am and couldn't see much. Does that help or hurt?
