What to do?

A single iron dropped from the bag, or a full set forgotten – irons are identifiable by number and model. Report your loss immediately.

Note the iron number (e.g. 7-iron) – crucial for matching.

Specify brand and model clearly.

Irons are often found in rough or near bunkers – inform the ranger.

Call the club the same day.

Check if the iron fell to the bottom of your bag.

How do you identify an iron without a sticker?

Via the manufacturing number on the hosel (visible with magnifier). Brands like Callaway, Titleist and Ping have database records.
