And Las Vegas golf is shaped by a player who barely exists elsewhere: someone in town for a convention or an event, playing exactly one round, often with rented clubs, on a schedule dictated by something other than golf. The city's largest trade shows draw well over a hundred thousand attendees each, and a slice of every one of them plays a morning round before flying out. They won't be back.
