Lost a golf club in London?

London golf happens in a ring around the city rather than in it, so almost every round starts and ends with a drive out and back, usually in traffic and often against the clock. On top of that sits a corporate golf scene with few equals in Europe: client days, society meetings and charity events that put players on courses they've never seen and won't see again. Between the rushed departure and the unfamiliar clubhouse, most lasting losses here happen in the car park rather than on the fairway.

Where clubs go missing here

At society and corporate days, where bags are collected centrally before play and redistributed in a hurry afterwards. In the boot of a playing partner's car, far more common than people assume. And on the practice ground before an early tee time, when a warm-up gets cut short.

I played a company golf day and barely know the course name.
The town is enough. At organised events clubs routinely surface several days later, once the organisers have cleared up.

Should I ask my group before reporting?
Worth doing, and worth reporting anyway. If it turns up in a friend's boot you simply withdraw the report.
